In addition to serving as the President of Michael P Arnold consulting and Pastor at Crossroads Church, Mike is a sought after speaker. He has served over the past 20 years as a pastor, communicator, consultant and coach, and most recently, co-authored the intriguing book entitled: Hopesick. Mike’s passion for young adults and natural communication style has enabled him to engage and encourage emerging leaders in a variety of settings.
Hopesick:
Many of us experience legitimate doubt around the topic of hope. At some point we have watched our dreams shatter, only to be bombarded with empty words from well-wishing believers that leave us hollow—in other words, “hopesick”. And our Millennials and Gen-X’ers, who are still high on life, are not exempt either. Their valid questions in a jaded world too often go unanswered, leaving them hesitant to embrace this illusive concept of hope.
In his talk, Mike Arnold takes a hard look at why hope has been reduced to a trite marketing term and lost its rich, powerful God-intended meaning. He’ll explore how hope has evaporated in our lives, sending many to the fringes of Christianity. Tapping into the works of some of the wisest believers of the past 2,000 years, Mike will inspire his audiences through stories of those who have struggled before us, to recapture hope lost, bringing this gospel truth to life once again in a real and relevant way.
