Christians Gone Wild: Just Sex

519We live in a country with many climates. Phoenix’s desert is different than Miami’s tropical climate. This time of year, I love the climate of Pittsburgh! Have you noticed that in addition to the weather climate, each place also has a moral climate? A level of what they consider acceptable or not. A few years ago, I lived Las Vegas, Nevada. Let’s just say that the moral and weather climate were both hotter than Pittsburgh!

A lot like Vegas, the moral climate of Corinth was saturated with sex. Paul writes to the Corinthian Christians because they were being influenced by the climate and culture they lived in. Without even realizing it, they were assuming the values and practices of the people around them; particularly when it came to sexuality. On Sunday, we are going to take some time to look at this important issue and how our sexuality and spirituality are so deeply connected. Take some time this week to read through 1 Corinthians 5-6 and join us Sunday as we continue our Christians Gone Wild series!

See you Sunday!
