A healthy marriage has healthy communication. Not surprisingly, nearly 90% of divorced people say communication was a major problem in their relationship.
George Bernard Shaw said “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” Just because we say and hear words doesn’t mean we’ve communicated. A lot can get lost in translation.
This weekend at Crossroads Church in Cranberry we are starting a new two-week series entitled “Unlocking the Secret of Marriage”. On Sunday we see that in order to communicate well we need to translate words into feelings. We will learn how to listen to the heart of others and to avoid speaking judgment or correction. Take a few moments this weekend to read and reflect on Proverbs 12:18-19 and join us as we learn how to unlock the secret of marriage.
